Social Express is a commercial film company in Amsterdam. One director, a consistent crew, and films that are built to do a specific job — fill a vacancy, win a pitch, sell a product.

You deal with one person from the first call to final delivery. The same crew turns up on most productions, so the quality doesn't change depending on who was free that week.

Work spans construction, transport, hospitality and services — long-form brand films through to vertical campaign work, shot and graded to the same standard either way.

The brief

A company film for the website and sales meetings — the scale of the operation explained without a voiceover reading the brochure.

The approach

Three locations, two days, cut to 75 seconds. Carried entirely by movement, so it plays with the sound off in a meeting room or on a phone.

Social Express is an international video production company based in the Netherlands, founded by Selim Cakmak.

I work with a small, consistent crew — the same people on most productions, scaled up when a job needs it. You deal with one person from first call to final delivery.

Most of what I make is brand and recruitment film for companies in construction, transport, hospitality and services. The work has to do something: fill a vacancy, win a pitch, make a sales meeting easier.

The studio is built to take on bigger work than it needs to. That is deliberate. The point is a place where good people can put their full weight behind something and have it hold — where the craft is the reason the work gets made, not an afterthought once the brief is met.
